Now only I have internet to post this. sorry for the late people :)
10/6/11
Sitting on the plane from Singapore to Japan and then to the states, I was thinking how things would be in the next four and half months that I will be spending in US ,and what would I become after this trip. I decided to jot down every single thing that happens to me, to honour this special trip :P This is the very first time I travel alone, no fear at all but excited! I think I kinda like it, maybe I should do it more in the future :) and I realized I'm more independent than I thought I was ;)
After a long haul of flying, finally I reached my destination. It is still 10/6/11 in US, but it's 11/6/11 in Malaysia, which is 15 hours ahead than the US.
This is the first day I breathe the American air.
My first stop is Sacramento, a peaceful town located in the heart of California. I check-in the Sacramento International Hostel, which I booked it online, to keep my luggage safe. Then I rush to the social security office to get my social security card done. The officer who served me is a very nice guy. He told me that he was a flight captain for 25 years. Basically he travelled all around the world to almost every country, but sadly he has never been in Malaysia. After having the registration done, I head back to the hostel to grab some rest. The hostel is a Victorian mansion; there are two living areas and a dining area and a kitchen. Guests can cook their own food there. They provide English breakfast every morning for free. The charge is considered very cheap in the U.S., only 28 dollars per bed per night, plus tax it’s about 31 dollars. The service is super good, and the people there are super nice and friendly and kind.

p/s: I will upload more photos to my facebook :)
So I decided to walk around Sacramento before I leave. There is not many shops in this town, and most of them are closed now (it's about 8pm), although it's still bright. The wind is strong and cold, it's about 18 degree celcius now. I love the weather, but not with the wind.
It's so lucky for me being able to catch the Friday event in the town when I pass by the J street. It's really happening, a lot of crowds, and people are lining up to get an entry pass, which is FOC. The event is organized by a local fm, Radio 94.7. The singer is really good and the live band is awesome. People are enjoying themselves, with food and beers, so as me :)
i really love the singer's voice
people bring their foldable chairs and sit here to enjoy the performance
This is yummy!!
they sell batik too! it's 12 dollars per dress. and they have our 'sungai-wang-like-dress', but they are selling 20 dollars instead of 25 ringgit. lol
Then I go to the down town plaza, which is located in K street, to shop for something. Most of the shops are closed or about to close, so I don't really have chance to shop. But the place is quite nice.
Hmm I'm tired already. Should go back to sleep as I need to catch early bus tomorrow to the next stop, Placerville.
I will upload more photos to my facebook, do follow my updates k! :D
Good night! ;)
